Response Stabilty is another "bartie design" model from SS10 collection. Shoe was designed to complete the range of Response family - both Trail and Cushion versions are already on the market.
Mid-price model dedicated to runners with over-pronation.
|
Focus for this design was to give stability but not to overbuild it. Upper offers enough support with functional stripes and by using secondary closed mesh on the forefoot and the heel. Last is the same as other Responses so if someone likes snug adidas fit this will be a good choice.

The shoe is simple without too much stuff on it. Formotion is a key technology and main story in my opinion is the tooling.
It is a stable platform but not wider then standard cushion shoe. Look at the rubber geometry... it's connected on the medial side to offer stability and it has wider shape under the first metatarsal head fo rthe same reason. Forefoot is made of semi blown rubber and has anatomical flex grooves following adidas running guideline. Material used for the midsole is injected EVA and there are both adiPRENE and adiPRENE+ inserts inside.
Medial side with second density midsole. Gives extra support to heel and midfoot overpronators. Note that upper synthetic pieces are more supportive on this side compared to lateral.
Visually design focus was on 2 elements - Formotion and stripes so they both called out with pop color.
